GPS COORDINATES: LA FERME DE MULSANNE
-The motorway junction, made up of the A 11 (Paris-Nantes), the A 81 (Le Mans-Rennes) and the A 28 (Rouen-Tours) which serves the city, encompasses 3/4 of the Le Mans agglomeration. An expressway, the D 323, makes it possible to complete the motorway contour and connects the A28 from Tours (exit Auvours) and the A11 towards Nantes (exit Allonnes-Le Mans ZI Sud ). With the A28, the city is on the Calais-Bayonne axis, and on a larger scale, the England-Spain link. This motorway linking Le Mans to Tours almost never saw the light of day because of environmental protection. The presence of a rare species of beetle slowed down the Biblio 1, Biblio 2 project for a long time. It was therefore planned to completely split the national 138 between Le Mans Sud and Tours, since the Le Mans ring road was already fully split. The southern section was launched in 2006 after years of delay. The A 28 motorway connecting the three big cities Rouen, Le Mans and Tours, is a strategic axis of the great bypass of Paris.
The city has exterior boulevards forming an incomplete ring road.
